There is a clinical distinction between acute and chronic pain because the cause of acute pain is generally short-lived, identifiable and "curable". Things like a surgery, broken bone or burn agre generally treated as acute. Because this form of pain is usually short-lived, it's treated differently and may even use some very potent drugs without risk.

Chronic pain is defined as pain lasting for 3 months or more. Indeed, it can last for months, years, even a lifetime. When pain continues for such a long time, treating with opioids, steroids and even NSAIDS can introduce side effects as unwelcome as the pain itself.

In those cases, many people look for alternatives that may not completely eliminate their discomfort, but reduce its severity. Or they use a combination of pharmaceutical and natural solutions to reduce the severity of negative side effects from drugs.

Nápreva products are not FDA approved. Very few dietary supplements are -- vitamins, ginseng, oregano oil, elderberry and thousands of similar products are not approved.
